Things that make me happy {Poem(ish)}

Note: This is more just like a list which I’ve attempted to give a vague sense of structure, flow and rhyme to. To be honest, I just wanted to think about things that make me feel happy so I don’t even care if nobody reads or likes this post, it was just nice to write :)

Playing instruments solo or in orchestra, writing songs, singing with my guitar,
Listening to John Williams, AC/DC, Chas & Dave, or rappers spitting bars,

The sun outside or the winter snow, birds tweeting close or far,
Gazing in awe at the night sky, admiring space and stars,

Hanging out with mates and reconnecting with friends from the past,
A simple ‘hello’ and a smile from a stranger as they pass,

Learning of the victories of those around me, big or small,
Or just watching Tottenham score a goal,

Dreaming of the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally I don’t yet own,
Walking around and exploring different places alone.
