Iron and Salt {Poem}

A tug on the strings of my heart –
A harp, or barbed wire
Stiff and bloodied –
Perhaps the web I
spun,
The heavy chains that bind my life;
And yet the invisible weight pulling on my life…
But no metaphor can describe how
I want to cry out the

emptiness

of my soul

  1. Nice outpour from your heart! As I commented on your other poem, your creations are true gems!! Let them keep coming. Having been on this earth for over sixty years now, I find you as a darling grandchild!! Keep writing on dear!
