Hello, I guess…

I am an irrelevant girl.

As of the date I post this, I am 15 years old. I live in the UK, but you might call me a British Born Chinese – My parents are Chinese but I was born and raised in the UK, but I consider myself a Brit at heart 🙂

Music is the air I breathe. I love music so much, and I really do listen to a wide range of music – from EDM to classical music. I play the violin and piano, and I self-teach guitar and drums. I also play the violin in a county orchestra, so not to brag, but I am a musical lass 😉 I also write songs and occasionally compose music, though it’s probably not my forté.

I honestly have no idea what I’m going to do with my life – I feel like I’m just going to end up living in a mouldy flat as a cashier at Waitrose or something :/

So finally, let’s talk poetry. After all, poetry is in the name of this website. Funnily enough, I strongly dislike English as a school subject, but I do enjoy writing poems, and both my English teacher and my mother give me lots of praise for my creative writing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So I intend to share some of my poems with you, and you can be brutally honest about how much they suck – I won’t be offended.

NB. I am fully aware of the existence of punctuation and the correct use of grammar, despite how much my poetry lacks it. Art of expression , it is called.
Nice Yoda speak, I just did.

Anyway, for the purpose of remaining anonymous, I’m not going to reveal my real name. So I’ll just sign off with my pseudonym and a couple of kisses (#spreadthelove),

an irrelevant girl xx

  1. When I wrote, I just wrote. When I wanted it to rhyme, I made it rhyme and if not then I just didn’t. Grammar and all that weren’t all that important for me. Because I learned that all great people didn’t pay much attention to the so called rules on how to do something. People are always about all these rules, while they actually just limit us to do nothing creative because it seems harder then. Luckily we still did it and now we just have to feel good about it because we still do it. I expect great works from you in the future. 😀 But just feel good and do what you love. ❤
